Kalla fötter

Rachel (Helen Baxendale) har pratat med Adams pappa Bill (Ian McElhinney) och han kommer på överraskningsbesök, något som Adam (James Nesbitt) inte uppskattar. Det visar sig att Bill var på väg till Sverige, men mellanlandade i Manchester. Karen (Hermione Norris) är hos Rachel när Bill kommer dit och hon kallpratar lite.

Karen: "You go from Dublin to Gothenburg, and you were just passing?"
Bill: "Mmhmm. Overhead."

Bill blir mer eller mindre utkastad ur huset när Adam kommer hem och inser att hans pappa har kommit och hälsat på. Karen erbjuder honom att låna ett rum hos henne då David (Robert Bathurst) inte bor hemma längre. Men när Bill ska ta flyget till Sverige åker han på problem:

Bill: "Really sorry about this. I had no idea the flight was gonna be full."
Karen: "Well, you wouldn't really would you? Manchester to Gothenburg. I mean, who's gonna do that."
Bill: "Scandinavian youth orchestra, apparantly."
