Veep

Ex-presidenten Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) har bestämt sig för att kandidera till presidentposten igen, och i en inledande debatt på Drake University i Illinois kastas det smuts mellan kandidaterna. Främst är det hennes tidigare vice president Tom James (Hugh Laurie) och Selina som hamnar i diskussion med varandra. Selinas kampanjpersonal, bland annat Kent Davison (Gary Cole) och Ben Cafferty (Kevin Dunn), och de börjar fundera på om det nog är dags att plocka fram backupplanen när debatten börjar spåra ur:

Tom: "I guess we shouldn't be surprised at this kind of underhandedness from a woman whose husband, Andrew Meyer..."
Selina: "Ex! Ex-husband, in fact."
Tom: "Whatever he is."
Selina: "You want to get it right."
Tom: "The two of you, according to your former press secretary, used the Meyer Fund to defraud millions of dollars from our obese children, from our adult illiterates, from  emerging democracies..."
Annan kandidat: "Our military families."
Kent: "So where you headed after this?"
Ben: "I got a neo-Nazi on the dangle in Sweden."
Kent: "Only one talking point, but they do stick to it."
