The closer

En agent hittas död i en bilolycka, men Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) och hennes kollegor hittar snart bevis för att hon inte dog en naturlig död. Att agenten tillhörde DHS gör inte saken sämre eftersom FBI kommer och gör anspråk på deras fall, något som Brenda inte tycker om. Hon gör sitt bästa för att förhala deras arbete, sätter krokben för dem och när FBI lagt beslag på nästan allt bevismaterial utom bilen som DHS-agenten körde gör Brendas kollegor ett genombrott. Mike Tao (Michael Paul Chan) kommer fram till Brenda och berättar följande:

Mike: "Chief, I checked the Prius's online service manual. If you use a cell phone with a Bluetooth wireless connection, you can make calls through the car. Maggie's car computer probably has a record of numbers she dialed and received."
Irene: "That's why the FBI wanted the car. They can't get into Maggie's encrypted cell phone yet either."
Brenda: "Well, it's our patriotic duty to help them out. Let's take a look."
Mike: "The Prius's Bluetooth system isn't really designed to display the information without the menu. We tinkered around a little, and we found the phone numbers."
