Pierece Hawthornes (Chevy Chase) pappa kommer på besök till vuxenskolan där Pierce och han udda vänner sitter i ett studierum. Cornelius Hawthorne (Larry Cedar) visar snabbt var han står när det kommer till människor:

Cornelius: "These are your friends, Pierce?"
Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown): "Hello."
Cornelius: "Minorities, jewesses, and the unseasonably tan?"
Britta (Gillian Jacobs): "That is inappropriate! And maybe you'll give that more weight since I'm 'white'."
Cornelius: "You've got a wide brow. What are you, Scandinavian?"
Britta: "Yeah, Swedish."
Cornelius: "Swedish dogs. Your blood is tainted by generations of race mixing with laplanders. You're basically Finns!"
